A Prospective, Randomized Trial Examining the Use of G-CSF versus No G-CSF in Patients Post-Autologous Transplant

Session Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of the activity, participants should be able to:

1. Analyze the impact on progression free survival when adding clofarabine to a fludarabine and busulfan-based conditioning regimen (FCB vs. Flu-Bu) for allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation in adult patients with AML and/or MDS.
2. Compare the adverse event profiles of Flu-Bu compared to FCB, evaluating key adverse events including rates of infections, mucositis, and elevated bilirubin between groups.
3. Review the impact of post-transplant granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) on inpatient length of stay in patients undergoing autologous stem cell transplant.
4. Discuss the need for post-transplant G-CSF in patients with multiple myeloma or Non-Hodgkins lymphoma receiving autologous stem cell transplant.

The France Foundation is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education and will award 1.0 CEU to pharmacists who complete the activity, complete the registration and evaluation forms, and successfully pass a posttest (>75%). There is no fee to participate in this activity. This is a knowledge-based educational activity. Your CE credits will be submitted electronically to the CPE Monitor. CE providers must upload participant information within 60 days from the date the participant completed the activity.
