Implementation of GA in Transplantation and Cellular Therapy - View from the Front Line

Includes a Live Web Event on 05/12/2026 at 12:00 PM (CDT)

The BTN CTN #1704 - CHARM study has been published and underscores the importance of using appropriate geriatric assessment (GA) tools to counsel and optimize care of older adults for allogeneic transplant. However, information on how to implement and operationalize GA tools in transplant cellular therapy clinical practice remains suboptimal. In this webinar, leading investigators and expert clinicians will discuss strategies for adopting GA in transplant clinical practices and identify areas for future research and quality improvement.

Learning objectives:

1. Understand how GA-deficits are prognostic for outcomes in transplantation and cellular therapy
2. Identify Barriers to implementing GA in the field
3. Understand which standardized, validated, and time-saving measures that are critical to adopting GA tools

Presenters:

  • Andrew Artz, MD, MS. City of Hope
  • Richard Lin, MD, PhD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
  • Wael Saber, MD, MS, Medical College of Wisconsin
  • Mohamed Sorror, MD MSc, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center
  • Sarah Wall, MD, MPH, The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center
